Mayflower Care Home in Gravesend has proudly marked a major milestone, celebrating 15 years of providing high-quality, compassionate care to residents in the local community.

The anniversary celebration took place on Monday, 12th January 2026 at the care home on Hartshill Road, Northfleet, bringing together residents, relatives, staff and invited guests for a joyful day of entertainment and togetherness. The event featured live music from professional entertainer Sarah Starkey and a celebratory buffet created by the Head Chef, creating a lively and uplifting atmosphere enjoyed by all in attendance.

The occasion was not only a celebration of longevity, but also a reflection of Mayflower Care Home’s long-standing commitment to providing high-quality dementia, nursing, respite and palliative care, tailored to each individual resident’s needs. Over the past 15 years, the home has become a valued part of the Gravesend area, supporting residents to live well while maintaining strong relationships with families and the wider community.

Residents were at the heart of the celebration, with many joining in the music, socialising with loved ones and enjoying the special atmosphere created by staff who worked together to organise the event. The day also provided an opportunity to recognise the dedication of the care and support teams whose commitment has helped shape the home’s warm and welcoming environment.

Speaking about the milestone, the Interim Manager at Mayflower Care Home said:

“Celebrating 15 years is a huge achievement for Mayflower. It was wonderful to see residents smiling, enjoying the entertainment and celebrating together. This home has always been about community, care and making people feel at home.”

Residents also shared their enjoyment of the day. Barbara, aged 84 commented:

“The atmosphere was fantastic. The music, food, and company made it a really special day for everyone.”
