Recent Winter Fun At Mayflower

It has been a festive and fun few weeks at Mayflower Care Home, where residents have been taking part in an exciting variety of activities designed to promote fun, creativity and connection. From arts and crafts to sensory play, there has been something for everyone to enjoy. The art sessions have seen beautiful paintings created, while sensory items have encouraged residents to explore textures and shapes in a relaxing and social way with a nice warm cuppa!

Games have been a particular highlight, with residents trying their hand at giant darts and a spot of putting, reliving some of their golfing days. These friendly competitions have brought a great sense of community to the lounges and encouraged gentle movement in a light‑hearted setting. Adding to the festive spirit, a special visit from our playful Christmas elf brought smiles all round as residents shared jokes and stories.
