Comfortable Rooms

Each of the spacious rooms is comfortably furnished, with plenty of space for wheelchairs if you need one. A homely feel is important, so the lounge can be arranged for you to sit in a group to socialise, or to give you quiet space if you prefer.

There is lift access to all floors, and all are wheelchair accessible. Free Enterprise wifi is available throughout the home, and all of the rooms are equipped with TV and telephone points, a nurse call system, and an adjustable automatic bed with a control handset to ensure your comfort.

Plenty Of Space

Our nursing care residents are mostly on the ground floor, where those who are more mobile can get around easily from their own room to the dining room and lounge. On the second and third floors we have secure floors for residents with dementia, including specialist care for those who are experiencing very severe symptoms, and find day-to-day life particularly challenging.

As well as offering a high standard of accommodation and general nursing care, we are the only home in Kent with a specialist unit for people experiencing the most severe symptoms of dementia. Our staff receive training in the complex needs of our residents experiencing advanced dementia, and our genuine passion for caring for people is appreciated by our residents and their relatives.

Welcoming Environment

The large, purpose-built building was designed to provide a comfortable and safe home for our residents, to complement the exceptional standard of residential and nursing care that they enjoy here. We understand the importance of a welcoming environment, and the impact it has on our residents’ emotional wellbeing, so in addition to all the advanced facilities you would expect from a modern care facility, we are proud to have created a warm and homely feel from the moment you walk through the door.

The landscaped garden and patio at Mayflower have been carefully designed to be fully wheelchair accessible, and offers plenty of inviting places for you and your guests to sit back and enjoy sunny days. A pot of tea and freshly made pastries or cake can be brought to you, or you can simply relax with a book from our library, or the daily paper. The gated garden is fully secure, with keypad access in and out, providing a reassuring level of safety for everyone.
