Pizza Making Fun At Mayflower

Residents at Mayflower Care Home in Gravesend enjoyed a fun and tasty afternoon getting creative in the kitchen as they made their very own pizzas.

The activity gave everyone the chance to get involved in preparing their own creations, starting with one of the most important decisions: choosing their favourite toppings. Residents could personalise their pizzas to suit their own tastes, making each one a little different.

There were plenty of smiles and conversation as residents worked together, sharing ideas and enjoying the process of making their pizzas. The hands-on activity was a lovely opportunity to spend time together while doing something a little different.

Of course, the best part came when the pizzas were ready to enjoy. Residents were able to sit down together and tuck into their freshly made creations, making the afternoon just as much about socialising as it was about the food.

Activities such as pizza making provide residents with opportunities to be involved in familiar everyday tasks while encouraging creativity and independence. Most importantly, they give everyone the chance to have fun, try something new and enjoy time together.
