Animal therapy sessions are proven to provide a wide range of benefits to residents, it is much more than just a rabbit sitting on your lap, it becomes a social and interactive session that can spark memories from childhood. Stroking animals has been proven to reduce stress and anxiety, and when we have special groups such as Wild Science join us at the home, the range of animals also provides an educational part of the activity as well.

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed meeting a whole host of fluffy and sometimes spikey animals, when they got to meet an adorable pygmy hedgehog. It was a wonderful afternoon that brought residents, family, and staff together to enjoy the Wild Science activity.
